With the advent of modern medicine, the body, in its biological intimacy, has mastered its own transparency. For contemporary artists, the body — as the very site of intimacy and the mechanics of life — continues to be the site of existential inquiry, reinspired by the mutations resulting from biological technologies. The subject of this exhibition is the representation of the body in its contemporaneity. And it is with very black humor indeed that even the most hidden anxiety is alleviated. The presence of three Swiss artists is no doubt responsible for the dadaistic spirit that permeates the exhibition.
