Marie-Claire Mitout works document the complexity of being, and in so doing immediately escape the field of information, even if she continues to use its means: text, color, words, etc. With their apparent simplicity and poverty of means, these documents refer each viewer back to him or herself: touching a certain recognition of existence, the separation between the self and other immediately vanishes. Her works oscillate between the naked transcription of personal reality and fiction. At the BF15 she exhibits her first film: a figure moves through a painted décor where a mental landscape unfolds.
The title of the exhibition, displayed in the front window, gave rise to heated debates with the street people living in the Place des Terreaux.
