sound performance "The Enchanted" February 16 at 19:30
Images of an appalling strangeness, cruel little tales and nagging songs, fill the world of Agnès Geoffray (born in 1973 in Saint-Chamond, lives in Paris). She plays at giving us a fright as much as amusing us. She plunges us with delectation into an absurd black, and quickly we lose our footing. A world of latency is then spread out, where fiction and reality are closely intermingled, to better confuse and reinvent them. Crimes et délices brings together photographs and texts. The written works take on various and varied shapes combining sculpture, video and performance. But whatever their given form may be, the photographs, like the texts, do only one thing: they haunt us.
