In resonance with the 2005 Lyon Biennale

Created for the exhibition Plus jamais seuls at La BF15 in 2005, Contenus by Dror Endeweld (born in 1960, lives in Lyon) is being shown. This work is composed of words in two different languages, with the evocation of a third in a spatial opposition, face to face, forty meters apart. On entering the courtyard of the Museum of Fine Arts, on the left, the part that is immediately identifiable in Latin letters: pain of content. While it is written in English, these words may however be partly understood in French. On the right, the Hebrew translation (kéhév hatokhén) seeks to unravel the meaning, but remains helpless, as it is probably unreadable in the French cultural context here in Lyon. This work was acquired by the city of Lyon in 2005 and remained at the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon until 2010.
