The work of Yann Toma, built around the Ouest Lumière Company, questions messages and their transmission through the production of parallel systems. His works are often the result of interactive processes and oscillate between reality, utopia and fiction. The BF15 has been transformed into the multi-modal center for the daily traffic of carrier pigeons transporting dispatches from the French Press Agency. Each day, the information contained in the dispatches is rewritten as a series of questions, thus reducing their potential meaning and making all information doubtful. The rewritten dispatches are transferred to microfilm and then transported by the pigeons which are sent off every evening.

Exhibition in RESONANCE with the 2003 Lyon’s Biennale of contemporary art.
