For her residency, Sylvie Sépic has focused on the expression of architectural and human data collected from the slopes of the Croix-Rousse: information showing how different social relations are generated by the micro-sites formed by the areas traboules, stairs and alleyways? Is it possible to establish a record of such relations that allows for both memory and fiction? She places her video camera on the window ledges of various homes and asks each inhabitant to comment on the images, resulting in a dozen small films. These are then exhibited in various places throughout the same neighborhood. Surprise comes from the deliberate confusion with the video-surveillance cameras recently installed by the local council.
